Dr. Chris Groot is a Senior Lecturer in the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, where he directs the Mental Illness Stigma Lab. His work focuses on research, teaching, and public engagement programs to reduce stigma around complex mental illness. He was the academic lead on Australia's first National Stigma Report Card and has a background in governing the clinical and research aspects of major national services like the Suicide Call Back Service and Beyond Blue Infoline.
